My journey so far...

It began with completing a 3year Graphic Design Diploma in Cape Town, South Africa. This opened up many aspects of art and creativity in numerous methods. I went on to work for a Graphic Design studio in advertising and illustration.

Art is a journey and I explore various techniques and methods of producing art. This can be seen in the varied styles and methods adopted in my art work.

When I lived in South Africa, I belonged to the Highway Society of Artists displaying at public exhibitions and selling numerous pieces. I achieved best on show a number of times.  Bright sunshine, colourful landscape and people in South Africa have influenced my love for colour in my work.

I have had great success selling my work at the Saltaire Arts Week as well as the Chandos Society of Artists in Somerset.

Using my love of art and people, I completed my Foundation Certificate in Art Therapy at Hertfordshire University. This has given me a greater appreciation of how art can be used as a tool for reflection, healing and wellbeing.

Creating art during lockdown has inspired me to capture the emotion of the times as well as trying to express hope to the viewer. Most of my work reveals a hidden message of encouragement.

I continue to learn, grow and challenge myself to try new methods, styles and mediums. I look forward to getting to you as we journey together.

Best wishes,
